Maintenance Recommendations
When properly installed and operated, PUREGAS compressed air dryers and gas generators are designed to deliver years of reliable service with minimal attention. Most recommended maintenance procedures can be easily and quickly performed in the field without the need for specialized tools or skills. For detailed information on the proper maintenance of your model, please download a copy of the appropriate Instruction Manual.

Preventive Maintenance for PHF, PCDA, PHCA, and PCME Models
For the popular PHF-based models, the following preventive maintenance schedule is recommended to ensure optimum performance and prevent the inconvenience of a sudden failure. This schedule assumes continuous 24/7 operation. Please reference the exploded view drawings in the Replacement Parts section to identify specific part numbers.

Filter Elements:
Replace the inlet and outlet filter elements every 6-12 months depending on the quality of the compressed air source. PUREGAS carries replacement elements for all of the filters offered with its products. See the Filter Element Replacement page for more information.

Solenoid Valves:
Replace the plunger and base of the solenoid valves every two (2) years. PUREGAS offers a convenient Solenoid Repair Kit (P200498S) for this procedure. Two (2) kits are required for each dryer. |

Desiccant Towers:
Replace or repack the desiccant towers every five (5) years. More frequent maintenance may be required based on the inlet air quality and filter element replacement. Please contact Customer Service for Return Authorization prior to returning towers for repacking. |

Check Valve and O-rings:
Replace the check ball, check spring, and o-rings every six (6) years. A Maintenance Kit (P200499S) is available for this procedure or the unit may be returned to PUREGAS to be rebuilt by qualified service technicians. |
